| Importance of Records Management |

The last few years have brought critical changes in the Records Management industry.
Federal legislation has been has been arriving thick and fast in the forms of HIPAA,
Gramm-Leach-Bliley, Sarbanes-Oxley and the Patriot Act. Privacy and Corporate Accountability
have become the keywords of the times with the burden of responsibility being placed squarely
on the shoulders of the CEOs. In no uncertain terms, the Federal government has warned business
that huge fines and even jail sentences will apply to those found negligent. |

| ARMA International is a non-profit organization dedicated
to educating business and providing research into the records and information management industry.
ARMA has chapters in over 30 nations and provides valuable networking opportunities to keep staff
up to date with new legislature and practices that affect the industry. |
