Implementing Electronic Document Management Systems:  Lessons Learned

Implementing electronic document management system (EDMS) solutions is not a simple task.  A successful transition requires knowledge of business requirements, organization processes and document workflows.  For many organizations, implementing an EDMS solution for the first time may also prove to be a very stressful experience.  Once implemented, few organizations anticipate the need to repeat the EDMS implementation experience.
